So this is my pretty dining room hutch all dressed for fall. You might get a kick out of reading this post because this hutch and I have quite a history.
Decorating the hutch
These houses are some of my favorites. I leave them up year-round. At Christmas, I really go overboard decorating around the houses. Decorating the hutch for fall is lots of fun because I love orange, but who can actually decorate with it permanently? I can’t, for sure.
You wouldn’t believe it if I told you how often I’ve painted this tin tile. I use them everywhere. The same with this basket and these bottles.
Here’s the final dining room hutch makeover. The pumpkins on the top are from clearance at Hobby Lobby last year. They fold up flat, which is great for storage. The pumpkins are all handmade. I absolutely love making them and giving them away.
The blocks that read God is Good are blocks that read “Let It Snow” on the other side. I painted three of the sides white and added black stickers. In the winter, I turn them around and stack them up. I’m all about repurposing.
I love decorating. It is my second love, and I find it very relaxing.
God loves for us to enjoy our lives. I used to feel bad about enjoying life but not anymore, but I finally realized that not enjoying life is like telling God, “No, thank you.”
I want to be grateful for all the joy I feel. That’s the best way to say “thank you”.
How about you?
Can you enjoy your life without feeling guilty?
God bless and have a great day.

This time we found some new places to see and some surprises. Then we moved on to North Dakota.… Continue reading What a trip! God does great work.
The story behind “How to make mini-journals” is circuitous at best. Let me explain. But first, I know I changed the name of my blog to delete the DIY part. I felt too much pressure to post a DIY. But now that the fall season, meaning Christmas is around the corner, I probably will. A… Continue reading How to make mini-journals.
