A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • an alphabet of thanks, “H”

Today I’m grateful for my hair. Mine is pretty manageable. I have plenty of it and the color has gotten better with age. And, as every women knows, a good hair day is a good day all around. When  you think about it, women and their hair are more inextricably tied together than almost Read more

  • an alphabet of thanks “G”

Today is again easy.   “G”   “G” is for grace, indescribable, undeserved, and unending.  When I think of all the ways God has “graced” me, I am humbled. And not just me. I read Scripture and see God’s grace to the Israelites time and time again. I see God’s grace extended to others everyday.  But the one Read more

  • an alphabet of thanks “F”

FUN. Yep, that’s it.  I choose “F” for fun. I think fun is seriously underrated. I admire people who find it easy to have fun. Who don’t have to feel guilty about it. There are reasons some of us don’t.  Have fun, that is.  I plan for fun now. Now, we must remember that what is Read more

  • Attitude, Smattitude

Don’t you get sick of hearing that attitude counts for everything? Don’t you get sick of hearing about people who’ve overcome great obstacles and, of course, it’s always their “great” attitude that got them there. I mean; it’s such a bore. it’s so trite. The concept is so overworn. Just maintain a positive attitude and Read more

  • an alphabet of thanks, “E”

Elephants, eagles, endorphins, energy, enough, entryways, exceptions, excitability, exercise, extravagant, education, enthusiasm.  Which to choose?  This is a hard one because in looking at all the words that begin with “E” very few of them are nouns and nouns are easier to write about. I’m going to choose exercise. When you think about it, it’s Read more

  • a month of thanks “D”

How could I not be thankful for Desserts? As far as I’m concerned chocolate should be a major food group and at the top of the food pyramid. Chocolate cake, lemon meringue pie, peanut butter cookies, apple pie, candy bars, ice cream. Oh, the list never ends. I can honestly say I’ve never met a Read more
