Crying out for the children. A prayer.

Restore, rescue, revive, rekindle, words of hope and prayer.

My husband and I worked in the yard all day yesterday and didn’t turn on the news till later. We were aghast as were many of you. I have no words, only a prayer.

LORD, where are you?

Have you hidden yourself?

We cry out in despair

For the children, the parents, the siblings.

All who loved them.

How long will you remain silent?

How long before your voice is heard?

Rescue us, Lord, from our politics.

Rescue us, Lord, from our opinions.

Restore our nation.

Revive our hope.

Rekindle our faith.

Save us from ourselves.

Amen

May God bless you as you process this latest tragedy.
