Post 1: Proverb’s Wisdom Is Still Undeniably Important In 2026
Please read: Proverbs 1:1(Wisdom)

If you’ve ever stood in the grocery store completely forgetting why you walked in, congratulated someone on a pregnancy that turned out to be weight gain, or said yes to something you absolutely should have said no to, welcome. You are in good company, and you are exactly who Proverbs was written for.
Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived (only for others, not himself), sat down and wrote a book not for people who had it all together, but for people who desperately wanted to. That’s still us, by the way.
The Book of Proverbs opens with a simple introduction: the author, his lineage, and his credentials. But don’t skip past it. Solomon was a king who asked God for wisdom rather than wealth or power, and God gave it to him in abundance. And what he received, he passed on.
How To Live
That’s what this book of Proverbs is all about. It is a collection of how-to-live tools handed down to us across three thousand years.
And yet it still works.
This first Proverb sets the tone for all the rest. I think I can safely say that if we lived our lives according to the Proverbs, we would find ourselves living better, fulfilling lives all around.
Proverbs was written long before Jesus walked the earth, and yet everything Jesus taught lines up with this ancient book.
But the best thing?
The best thing, the most beautiful thing is this: wisdom hasn’t changed its address.
The same God who gave Solomon discernment for governing a kingdom wants to give you discernment for your day.
For the hard conversation, the uncertain decision, the relationship that’s fraying at the edges. Proverbs is not a dusty relic. It is a living invitation.
Reflect: What is one area of your life right now where you most need wisdom?
Pray: Lord, I come to Your Word not because I have all the answers, but because You do. Open my heart and my mind as we walk through Proverbs together. Teach me what it means to live wisely — not just to know wisdom, but to walk in it. Amen.
