A DIY to brighten your bedroom.

After a glorious and sunny Saturday, Michigan has returned to the dark and gloomy. So I thought this might be a good day to post a picture of a DIY project I completed a few months ago.

I found these blue “sconces?” at a garage sale a couple of years ago. If you look closely, you can see the underneath color. I forgot to take a picture but it was kind of a tan. I spray painted all three of them with a bluish-green color. Again, forgot to take a picture of the spray can and don’t have any left over. I know it was by Rustoleum 3X and it wasn’t Aqua. Does that help?

Next, I joined two pallet boards with a metal brace.

I carefully measured and spaced the sconces equally across the board and marked the holes with a pencil.

I took them off and turned the pallet boards over and attached two eye-hooks at each end. I wrapped wired through these so I could hang like a picture.

This is a close-up of the “sconce”. They are just plastic.

Then I added flowers and voila’! Oh, I did whitewash the pallet boards haphazardly.

This was an easy and fun DIY project and was great for the blank wall in our orange and bluebedroom.

God bless and I hope you have a good day.
