A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Yea, New Year’s Resolutions in place. Read on.

I told you in January that I love that month because it gives me a chance to reflect and plan for the future. I had a list of areas I was concentrating on. I compiled a list of categories.. It was kind of interesting because just the act of making the list was really helpful.… Read more

  • Is it Spring yet?

Well, where I live, there are two more big snow storms on the horizon. So I’m looking through one my favorite catalogs (Country Door) and drooling. So many ideas. Too cold to start any of them. Sigh. As much as I don’t mind winter, this one is getting real old real fast. Still I can… Read more

  • where our choices end

I don’t know where this saying comes from but I love it. I’ve had it downstairs in front of my art table to remind me to think carefully about my choices. What I like about it the most is not the emphasis on choice but the fact that we can’t be certain what the consequences… Read more

  • doing what we love

This is from Robert Louis Stevenson. It is so true. “To know what you prefer instead of humbling saying  Amen to what the world tells you your ought to prefer, is to keep the soul alive.” My interpretation. : Don’t be afraid to do what you love doing. And don’t worry what others might think.… Read more

  • dinner last night

OK. I’m not a great cook but I’m a heck of a lot better than I once thought. Take last night’s meal, for example. I can’t believe I’m going to actually show you the step by step and the final result. Can I just remind you, I’m not a photographer. I’m going to learn to… Read more

  • what is enough?

Today is a tough one. For a family I care deeply for and for myself and my husband. We’ve been trying to help someone this past week dig themselves out of their pit. We’ve said and done everything we know to say or do. But there’s still that question-did we say and do enough? I… Read more
