Screwed up no-bake cookies. Who does that?

So today I was in a baking mood. I made a great Artisan bread I found in an almost discarded magazine I had picked up from the library. I’ll include the recipe next week. Anyway, it was quite involved but it turned out great.

But then I decided to make some no-bake cookies. First batch turned out great.

no bake cookies

Then I decided to make a second batch with less sugar. What a mess! (Forgot to take pictures.)

So in my brilliantness, I thought, “Hey, I’ll just pop them in the microwave to harden them up.”

They got hard all right.

Isn’t it funny how the hard things can be so simple and the simple things prove to be so hard?
