how to tackle your day, even begrudgingly

Did you ever have a day that was, well, not bad. but not good?

unplanned

Nothing major is going on. But you kinda’ had a vision, if not a plan, for your day, and this just isn’t it.

You’re doing all the right things but begrudgingly. It’s not that you knew what you wanted to do differently; but whatever you are doing just isn’t fitting the bill.

discombobulated

It’s like when you’re hungry for something and you don’t know what it is..

It’s not a week-day ever. I mean week-days take care of themselves for the most part.

There are:

Jobs to go to.

Tasks to take care of.

Errands to run.

 Dinners to be cooked,

Houses to be cleaned,

Clothes to be washed.

And if you’re like me, a thousand creative projects calling your name.

But this is one of those days. The unscheduled, unplanned, and perhaps unwelcome days where nothing comes into focus.

So if you’re like me, you do the only thing you know to do-just keep moving.

Do the thing in front of you and let things fall into place as they will.

I HATE THAT

I hate not having at least an idea of what I want to do.

I guess as a Christian this is when God steps in and says, “Just do what is in front of you.”

Maybe I’ve gotten so used to having a hundred things on my plate everyday, I feel all discombobulated when my plate is empty.

That’s kind of sad, huh?

Just get on with your day if you don’t know what to do. You might be surprised how it turns out.

God bless and I hope you have a good day.
