Oh, my another easy DIY for you. You’ll want to read this.

This little DIY tray was a last-minute project for someone. I was getting ready to donate it to Goodwill when I thought, hmmm, maybe I could paint a beach scene for her. Of course, I had no idea it was going to turn out so good, or I would’ve taken “process” pictures. But I think I can describe the process.

The DIY Process

It was painted white, so the first thing I did was paint it with Rustoleum 2X in a number of pale blue shades. No plan. Then I used a darker blue and spray painted the bottom half. I painted the last few inches a tan color. Yes, this was all with spray paint. Now I had the basic painting done.

I used some gold leaf to mimic rocks. That was a lot of fun. I used some craft paint to paint a thin line of dark blue to represent the horizon and some white craft paint for a few waves. I glued a decorative piece of coral on the bottom and wrapped the handles in jute.

Finally, I spray-painted the whole thing with a clear gloss finish. That was it.

So that’s it. This took me about thirty minutes, and it turned out really cute. Much cuter in real life. As I said, I would’ve taken better pics but had no plans to post this project.

Are any of you working on a DIY project? This was such an easy project. Go find a tray and just start painting. You could use any theme you might. I might do another one with more of a wooded theme.

The Book

I just couldn’t write anything deep this week. I’ve been working so hard on the book, Deeper, I just don’t have much left over. I should be back on board next week.

I hope you all have a great week and God’s blessings on each of you.
