My Book is on Amazon!!! A mission fulfilled

A mission fulfilled. My book is finally on Amazon, a mission fulfilled. It was fairly anti-climactic as I didn’t even know it right away.

I wrote a book!!!

Whoa. I still don’t believe it. I really did write a book. But I am well aware, God was the power behind it. He will be the power behind it as long as it remains in print. Someday my great-great–great-grandchildren might read it.

Shameless self-promotion

This is the part I don’t like. But all authors go through it even if they go through a traditional publishing house.

We have to “sell” our book, meaning promote it, discuss it, put it out there. So here I go.

But I won’t profit

First of all, I want you to know that when I gave in to God’s call that I write this book, I also promised him, I would not profit from it. All profits will go to charity although I don’t know which ones yet. Wouldn’t it be great if it sold so many copies, I could even set up a foundation? I share that with you not to sound sanctimonious. Trust me, I’m not.

I’m trying to figure out how to be transparent in this regard. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Until then, you will just have to trust me.

I share that part about the profits with you because this is God’s book and the fulfillment of his call on my life. It is my ministry and my mission and it’s now fulfilled. My profit will be if the book helps others who are depressed, anxious, or just often fight with low moods.

There is a dedicated website that isn’t “live” yet and I will share it with you when I can.

Please leave a review

If you do decide to buy the book, please leave a review. You know how there is that part on Amazon that reads something like, “See similar books or something like that”? In order for me to be a “similar” book and show up other than on my own Amazon page, I need people to buy my book sooner rather than later. It all has to do with algorithms. Trust me, I don’t have a clue how it works, only that it does.

How my heart feels today

In Your Time (A Writer’s Prayer) | written by Bob Hostetler
Heavenly Father, you make everything beautiful in your time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).I submit to your timing.
I await your timing.
I desire what you will,
as you will,
when you will. That goes for my writing, too. I long to touch lives with my words … in your time.
I want to write passionately, effectively, impactfully … in your time.
I yearn to think and communicate clearly and sharply … in your time.
I pray to craft artful, beautiful words, sentences, and passages … in your time.
I ask for publication, for contracts, for endorsements, for readers, and for life-changing influence … in your time,In Jesus’ name, amen.

Isn’t that beautiful?

It’s been a hard mission to fulfill

I couldn’t begin to share with you what these last eighteen months have been like. There is just no way. And throw in a pandemic and all the rest, well, it’s an understatement to say it was a trial by fire. Oh, I loved the writing part, but the rest was miserable. The learning curve was steep. But I can’t wait to share what I learned through it all and how it impacted my faith.

Mission fulfilled!!!

If you read my book, I hope it meets your expectations.

God bless.
