we are the most free when we are truly humble.
We are the most free when we are genuinely humble. How is that? Here’s how.
Humility restrains the ego and frees us.

True humility involves letting go of our ego and surrendering to God. When we consciously choose to embrace humility, we are no longer controlled by our pride and insecurities. We no longer need to prove ourselves to others. This freedom from our ego allows us to be more authentic, open-minded, and caring towards others. It deeper connections and understanding in our relationships.
Freedom creates space for learning
By acknowledging our limitations and imperfections, we create space for growth and learning. This leads to a more profound sense of peace and purpose. Also, humility encourages us to listen actively and appreciate diverse perspectives. While we may disagree with the actions of others, we recognize the value in everyone because God does. Ultimately, this enriches our lives and the lives of those around us. We feel free because we are no longer bound by group think.
Being free means we can accept our mistakes.
In addition, it helps us to accept our mistakes and leads to continuous growth and learning. We acknowledge that we don’t have all the answers and that we are not always right. (What?) We become more open to new perspectives and experiences. This openness and willingness to learn from others further enhances our freedom. We evolve and adapt to different situations. And it allows us to develop deeper connections with those around us. We no longer need to win in every situation.
Freedom creates an environment for dialogue
When we embrace humility, we create a safe space for dialogue and an environment where collaborative problem-solving thrives. This could be in the family network or on the job. Consequently, this approach not only fosters personal development but also enriches our interactions. We learn to appreciate different viewpoints and the lessons they bring. When we are a slave to our previously held and often never-thought-out views, we are bound by them.
Being free means we don’t need constant approval.

Ultimately, true humility frees us from the burden of constantly seeking approval. It liberates us from the need to compare ourselves to others. Further, it allows us to focus on being our genuine selves. We can embrace our unique strengths and weaknesses without judgment. In this way, humility leads to a deeper inner peace and contentment. We can live authentically and compassionately.
This state of freedom encourages us to cultivate meaningful connections with those around us. We foster an environment where understanding, empathy, and support flourish. By practicing humility, we open ourselves to diverse experiences and perspectives. We enhance our ability to navigate life’s challenges with grace and resilience.
It’s a real burden to be right all the time.
