Feeling Guilty About Your Blessings. How To Stop
When Blessings Shower Down

I’m sitting here at my keyboard.
I’m wondering what to do with my day.
Blessings are abundant.
The weather is beautiful. It’s sunny. I have many things calling my name and whispering, “Pick me, pick me.”
Which should I choose?
Should I paint, write, play in the garden, read, bake…….?
So many choices. It all seems too much.
We know we should embrace our blessings but we feel so overwhelmed by them all.
Then I realized how fortunate I am to have these choices. And I start to feel a little chagrined.
But wait a minute.
Haven’t there been times in my own life when I didn’t have these choices? When how I spent my time was predetermined? Do I need to feel guilty about where I am now?
embracing Our Blessings
I think we are all like that to a degree. We feel overwhelmed when our lives are so full, like we should be giving away some of our joy. But it doesn’t work that way, does it?
I thought about that for a while and came to these conclusions:
- As a Christian, I am to enjoy my life when I can.
- It’s important I share my blessings with others.
- I need to always maintain a grateful heart.
- I must remember the “source” of my blessings and never take them for granted.
That’s what I came up. As long as I’m meeting those criteria, I can love this day any way I choose.
I wish I could give away some of my contentedness today.
feeling guilty about blessings
Do you face this same struggle? You may be feeling guilty about your blessings.
But that’s a choice as well, isn’t it?
I’ve posted a lot about choices because I believe choice-making is one of the most determining actions we take to steer our lives..
So today, I’m choosing to thoroughly enjoy my life. It’s kind of a “free” day in that all the “have-to-do-things” have already been done.

Aren’t you curious as to what I chose?
I’m going to do a little of all of it.
I hope you have a wonderful day. Make good choices. Remember, you always have a choice.
God bless.
