A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

Who is the genuine hero of the Christmas story?

The genuine hero of the Christmas story might not be Mary. It just might be Joseph. Don’t get me wrong. I certainly understand how important Mary is to the story. How old was Joseph when Jesus was born? I just read a wonderful little book called, “Faithful” by Adam Hamilton. That book and the other… Read more

  • How Christmas is really the same this year.

How is Christmas really the same this year despite Covid? It is, you know. But first, I had to show you more Christmas pictures. Where are you in decorating? Did most of you decorate as usual? I’m sure if you have small children, you did. After all, they need things as normal as possible. But… Read more

How do we focus on the important?

How do we focus on the important? Of course, the “important’ is different for most of us and it depends on our season of life. I’m addressing here what maybe we could call what-is-needed-now-focus. I’ve just listened to a podcast about blogging. The one point the host was suggesting was that you write about things… Read more

I didn’t have Covid yesterday and why it’s almost funny

The backstory I didn’t have Covid and why it’s almost funny is also why I didn’t post. So, I had a post almost ready yesterday but it needed some tweaking. (Apparently, the last one did, too. How those mistakes got past me, I don’t know. I apologize.) Anyway, I decided to drop in on a… Read more

  • What does your Christmas journey really look like?

What does your Christmas journey really look like?

Do you want Christmas peace this year? Considering this past year, I think we all do. I think maybe that’s one of the reasons we are encouraged throughout Scripture to set time apart to spend with God in quiet contemplation. It’s not for God so much as it is for us. It’s God’s way of… Read more
