My first printable for you. Enjoy!

(I know this is my second post today but I so wanted to share this with you. Plus it’s time sensitive. I shared a recipe a couple of weeks ago but I’m not sure it worked.)

So I know this is no big deal for most of you.

For me, it’s huge. You have no idea how hard I’ve had to work to get this far,

But perseverance is not an attribute I lack. Let me share the history behind that.

My husband and I were just talking today about a new series our Pastor has started at church. All small groups are going along with this. Our immediate reaction was not favorable. Not because we have a problem with the subject matter. We don’t.

The problem is my husband and I don’t like “group think” and this kind of church-wide endeavor seems like that. We discussed why we don’t like the idea.

It has to do with perseverance. Growing up, we both had to be responsible for our own emotional and mental health. So we are both very independent. (Can you just imagine what the first years of marriage were like for us?)

But it also made us independent and critical thinkers. That we like.

But we both agreed we cherish our independence too much at times and so we are wholeheartedly going along with this church-wide program. We will take part and do our part because it’s important to our small group and we like to think we are big enough to accommodate others.

Independence is a really good thing. Critical thinking is a really good thing. But so is community.

So that perseverance is what got me to this little printable. Enjoy your Thursday and God bless.
