Why we don’t need to prove our side.

Proving our side isn’t always necessary. I used to be one of those people who always needed to share her side of the story.

I’ve learned that having to prove myself is no longer necessary. If I’m right, it only matters that I know it.

Having to prove ourselves comes from a deep sense of insecurity. And I have been insecure for way too long. Try letting “your side of the story ” remain with you.

Give grace to someone else by letting them win now and then. I’m not suggesting that with important issues, we remain silent. But let’s face it, most of the discussions or arguments we find ourselves in aren’t that important anyway.

When we quit feeling like we have to have everyone’s approval, we will move on with our lives much easier. Proving our side won’t be a simportant. And isn’t it when we are seeking another’s approval that we feel the need to be right?

Are there times when sticking to our guns is important? Of course, there is. But they are far less common than one might think.

Let’s face it, it’s hard to be right all the time anyway. I find these days, I have so many more important things to be concerned about than always having to be right.

God bless and have a great day and stay safe.
