My fall tablescape. You’ll really like it.

I thought I’d share my dining room tablescapes and my two new chairs from Wayfair.

First of all, about the chairs (from Wayfair), I hovered my finger over the “send” key a long time before I pressed it. I”ve never ordered furniture on-line before and there was a return fee so I had to get it right the first time.

Can I just say, I  LOVE these chairs. I intend to paint the other chairs eventually but even if I didn’t, I still like the look as is.

The “shim runner” is complicated. Not. It’s a package of wide shims from Home Depot glued to a piece of felt. Complicated, huh? I added a light stain just to darken them a little. Oh, and I staggered them.

I got the idea for the cloth pumpkins from various Pinterest sites and adapted them as I saw fit. The stems are mostly pieces of driftwoodI found on the Lake Michigan beach just a couple of blocks from our home. I gathered up the fabric and glued the stems in place them added wire to look like tendrils.

Then it was just a matter of arranging everything. It’s important to have arrangements at different heights so I used some blocks of wood to elevate some of the pumpkins. The pumpkins are different sizes and from different scraps and types of fabric.

I added some pinecones and metallic leaves I cut out from scrapbook paper. I had some cement birds I added as well.

The rusted mason jar pumpkin is really a wreath my daughter bought me for my birthday last year. I added a stem, and voila’, a pumpkin. I hope to keep this arrangement through Thanksgiving
