A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

What else gets in the way of praying? Two things. So far we’ve looked at finding time to pray. We’ve discussed our feelings of inadequacy. Today we will look at where to begin, and our feelings of unworthiness. Even now, after years of praying, I sometimes don’t know where to begin myself. Just this morning Read more

  • How God interruptions are always well-timed.

God’s interruptions are always well-timed. Here’s an example of how. One day last year I had a few small things I wanted to check off my list after I go home from church. Just those little nagging things I’ve been wanting to get to. You know the kind. You keep putting them off because they Read more

Let’s decide to be happy. The sun is shining, birds are chirping.

Let’s decide to be happy. After all, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping. At least they are in Michigan today. I recently earned my first coaching certification as a happiness life coach. Isn’t that a great phrase, “happiness life coach”? What fun studying happiness. It was quite by accident (no, God’s divine providence) Read more

Why we don’t find the time to pray

Why we don’t find the time to pray. Last week I listed a number of reasons we give for not praying. The first one is: First reason: Not enough time Obviously, there are all kinds of way to debunk this idea. Therefore, I am not going to actually address the time issue because we all Read more
