Knowledge is not the same as wisdom.

I’ve been reading about King Solomon this week.How he asked God for wisdom and how God granted his request.

So why did the wisest man in the world have such a fall from grace? If you’re that smart, wouldn’t you think you’d avoid the obvious pitfalls? Wouldn’t you think you’d pay attention to what God had already made clear in the ancient scriptures?
Solomon may have been “gifted” wisdom but that didn’t stop him from being arrogant and foolish.

Just because God “gifts” us in some particular manner doesn’t mean we don’t have weaknesses in other areas. I think Solomon might be the perfect example of the folly of thinking you’re the smartest person in the room.
