Ouch! It’s the night before foot surgery number five

Tomorrow is the big day. Foot surgery number five,  four hospital visits. (The last trip included both feet.)

I hope this works. I really don’t want to do it, but I have no choice. It’s that or possible major foot reconstruction surgery and a long, and I do mean long (one year), recovery period. If the offending tendon were to rupture, this would be the only option. Even now, if this surgery doesn’t work, it could still end up that way. There’s a fifty-fifty chance.

Anyway, you may or may not hear from me for the next few days. But then you’ll hear from me a lot.  I’m allowed no weight-bearing on that foot for a while. Then it’s another month in a brace if all goes well. Picked up the brace today. It’s heavy, cumbersome, and nothing like what I’ve worn in the past. This might be a new weight-loss cure. It will be like a weighted band around my leg.

I am going to be so-o-o-o-o-o bored.

So I have to do something, or I’ll go stir-crazy. So you’ll be hearing from me a lot. I’m trusting God has some great ideas for me when I’m conscious enough to pay attention. 🙂

These last few weeks have found me finishing up a bunch of little projects I’ve wanted to get to. Got a little spring cleaning done. I have some simple projects ready. Some drawings I want to get underway. Some intensive reading. I have everything ready, so my husband can find them. I’ve prepared a supply of frozen meals. I think I’m all set.

If you have time, I would appreciate your prayers.

God bless, and I hope you have a good day.
