This little cartoon below is really quite profound.

So often we think God has let us down because we don’t see the big picture.

For the past few weeks, I’ve experienced a lot of pain. I eventually found out that it’s a herniated disc which is pinching some nerves. I started therapy yesterday.

Now I could feel pretty sorry for myself and feel like a stone hit me as well. Instead I choose to believe that God prompted me to get to the bottom of this pain before I did more serious harm. I see this opportunity for healing as God’s intervention.

I wonder how may times God has protected us from serious disaster, the many times he’s rescued those I love from making serious mistakes.

I can think of so many circumstances in my life where I’ve looked back and seen God has been moving behind the scenes when I thought he was completely ignoring me.

So while I don’t like cartoon versions of the Triune God and while this isn’t totally accurate, it allows us to visualize God’s protection when we need to be reminded.
