A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

Help, a worm is eating me!

A bookworm, that is. And now that spring is almost here, that bookworm is invading my mind. If you live in the Midwest or the East Coast you know what a miserable spring this has been so far. But I looked at my deck today and started dreaming of the days I can sit out… Read more

  • What if I’m happy with mediocrity?

What if I’m happy with mediocrity?

(Before I even begin, I feel the need to explain. I am not suggesting mediocrity as a lifestyle. Hardly. I’m all for doing our best, seeking the best, etc. But sometimes those of us who are perfectionists (me included) need a little dose of mediocrity, if for no other reason than to give ourselves a break… Read more

I need your insight about a camera purchase.

Help. I’m thinking about a real camera as opposed to always using my cell phone. But they don’t come cheap. Our local store is suggesting a moderately priced one at $1,200.00. After all accessories, it will come to about $2,000.00. It’s also waterproof which is important to me. The young man who was helping me made a… Read more

What is the big deal about open and closed doors?

(I had to add flowers to my background for a few days. We have a snowstorm here in Michigan and we Michiganders are not happy. More snow tomorrow. Grrrrr.) I read this Tuesday in My Utmost For HIs HIghest. God never opens doors that have been closed. He opens other doors, but He reminds us… Read more

How two discarded pieces become one really better one.

(So-o-o-o I know I’m supposed to be done with the clutter theory. But I was perusing some blogs and I came across this great post which really showed the Konmarie method in action. You will remember that I’m not a huge fan of the Konmarie method but I do like some of it.  Here’s the link . I have… Read more

  • Hard work is the first step to success

Hard work is the first step to success

I don’t have much experience with laziness. Not my own, anyway. Don’t even know why I’m blogging about it. It just came to mind. (Actually, I do know why, just not saying.) I find lazy people annoy me greatly. I believe that hard work is the first step to success, no matter what the endeavor.… Read more
