A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

    Some Christmas decorating

Here are some pictures from my dining room.  This is my hutch. It’s never been decorated the same way twice. The cone trees to the left at the left are just styrofoam trees wrapped in cut up strips of an old black and check wool blanket. The sign is a prototype of others I made… Read more

    Another cute DIY Christmas sign

Here’s another easy DIY sign. I bought the car and truck at JoAnn’s and painted them. As I mentioned in a former post, the words are from the Dollar Tree. The board was from Home Depot and depending on size was no more than $1.50. God bless and have a good day. Read more

  • Another “almost free” quick Christmas gift idea

Hubby and I traveled north this past weekend to a little town where we used to live. We wandered up and down the streets and in and out of the little stores. It’s so much more fun than malls. I miss how Christmas used to be: ……….dashing in and out of the stores, ……….with the… Read more

  • Another quick Christmas decorating idea

This  year I wanted to use one of my favorite color combos for Christmas ideas in the kitchen, red and aqua. I had these mostly Coke bottles (one in middle is a vinaigrette I had already painted and distressed that I had used before. I had stored them away for future reference just because I… Read more

  • A DIY Dollar Tree Christmas sign

This is another very inexpensive quick craft if you’re in need of a last minute idea. Everything, except the board, is from the dollar tree. First, let me share some of the backstory. I had bought these words from the Dollar Tree as soon as they went on sale. I’m learning that you need to… Read more
