A great tip for caregivers of elderly parents with memory issues

Remember Friday is for whatever strikes my fancy.

Fancy Fridays.

Today is a great tip is you have an elderly parent who has some memory issues.

memory loss

I was getting ready to take my mom to shop for flowers yesterday. We were already in the truck when I asked her if she had her wallet and checkbook.

Nope, she didn’t.

So the next thirty minutes were spent looking for those items and worrying that she might have lost her wallet, credit cards and all.

As it turned out her checkbook was easily found and the wallet had fallen out of her purse.

But that got me to thinking. What would have happened if she HAD lost her wallet?

So what’ I’m doing is taking pictures of her credit cards,(front and back so we have phone numbers) insurance cards, pretty much everything. That way if we run into a problem we can quickly notify the issuers.

So that’s my hint for you today.

Take those pictures and avoid future problems.

If you have other creative ways to handle memory loss with your parents, I would love to hear them.

God bless and I hope you have a good day.

(ps. Apparently I screwed up and forgot to post this earlier, so here it is. )
