A new approach. I hope you like it.
Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.
So, what do you think?
Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?
Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.
If faith doesn’t work during times of illness, when will it?
I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

How to make a ladder with hanging baskets
I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine wasn’t so great. I felt very frustrated. I have a number of new followers over the past few months and rather than direct you to a lot of posts, let me just quickly bring you up to date. My foot problems started about fifteen years ago. Over… Read more

How to make another person feel “noticed”. So simple.
If we were having coffee, what would I want us to talk about? Good question, huh. I’ve been catching up on some WordPress “helps” and this was a suggestion as a possible blog. I don’t often use prompts, but I like this one so I thought I would give it a try. I find it… Read more

Why “winning” isn’t always so good.
Whoa! I’m too competitive. I’ve been playing “Words with Friends”. I really like the game, but it wasn’t until today that I realized I don’t always enjoy it because I’m so focused on winning. That has to change. But what’s the point of playing if it can’t also be fun? So today I’m choosing to have fun. It’s… Read more

Does peace mean we sit back and do nothing?
Sometimes I think Christians confuse “peace” with “do nothingness”. It isn’t the same. 1. Peace isn’t a feeling. Peace is a state of being. Peace means we are content with whatever comes our way. The book of Philippians in the Bible is probably the most quoted book in scripture on the subject of peace. But I… Read more

What’s the worm in your apple?
(This was written about six months after I started blogging. I’ve edited and added to it for today.) This blog finally became reality when I decided (after years of procrastination) to paint my dining room hutch. Strange, huh? Let me explain. Painting my hutch is something I thought about for years. Can you believe that? I mean… Read more

How snowy days help me think.
(I posted this a number of years ago but I could have written it this winter because we’ve had a lot of snow this month.) We are getting hammered with snow here in Michigan, over a foot within twenty-hours. The snow is so heavy the pine trees that border our house on three sides look like they’ve… Read more
