A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

    an alphabet of thanks “P”

There are no options (see yesterday’s post) to pick from for the letter “P”. I’ve had this one settled on since the beginning. It’s PINTEREST. Here’s how my descent into the Pinterest “abyss” began. It was October, 2011, when my daughter remarked, “Hey, mom.  I’ve found this neat website I think you might enjoy. It’s called Pinterest.… Read more

    an alphabet of thanks “O”

Option one over option two. We even have toilet paper options. I don’t like playing guessing games with life. I like concrete answers. I like people who are open. I don’t like people who have an agenda; you never know where you stand with them. I like to organize-things, my schedule, my life. I don’t like… Read more

(In case you’re doing the math, these posts are one day off. This should really be posting on the 14th. But “D” and “E” posted the same day because I didn’t wait for one of those posts to update before I turned off my computer, and I didn’t catch it till the next day. Just… Read more

  • Alphabet of thanks: “M”

Today I’m thankful for MAGICAL MOMENTS. Moments that interrupt our routine and cause us to catch our breath. I’ve been lucky in that I can immediately think of two. My husband traveled extensively for about ten years and I was fortunate to tag along a few times each year due to his seemingly infinite number of frequent flyer… Read more

    an alphabet of thanks, “L”

“L”, “L”, “L”. What begins with “L”. Leopards, little, lazy, lop-sided, love, laps, luxury, lettuce,…….. Today I pick, nope, not love, way too easy. I pick “little”. We all have different criteria for what we consider “little”. To me, it’s all those “little” moments in life. The first cup of coffee in the morning. The hug… Read more

    Alphabet of thanks: “K”

Just over three months I was sitting on the porch at the bunkhouse when I heard what I thought was a tiny, little “cry”. I looked around for the source thinking it might be a wounded animal. I heard it again. A rustle of leaves. I kept looking. Then I spied him, a tiny gray… Read more
