A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

When you just have to play dress-up

OK, so today I’m running to Hobby Lobby. Eighty percent off decorative items. I try to always hit this sale for birthday presents for friends and family. But today, instead of bumming around in capris and a t-shirt I’ve decided to wear a skirt. I mean, why do I have these cute skirts and summer… Read more

  • Why rocks “rock” for me.

I love rocks. Or maybe they’re stones. If you really want to know the difference, you can look it up here. The upshot is this: All rocks are stones but not all stones are rocks.”  Hmmm. For me, rocks have hard and rough surfaces while stones are smooth. I love collecting “stones” of all sizes. I’m… Read more

  • Great estate sale finds. Check it out

Ok, I went to the mother of all estate sales over the weekend. And not necessarily in a good way. Never in all my years of estate sale shopping have I seen such a  mass array of “stuff”.  I felt sorry for whoever had lived there. It was that bad. The humidity was sky-high so… Read more

  • He’s More

This was written by my daughter. Her son, my grandson, has Down syndrome. The point she makes can be made for anyone. None of us learn a new skill by emulating someone at the same level as us. This applies to everyone. I’m so proud that she and her husband stuck to their guns. They… Read more
