A new approach. I hope you like it.
Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.
So, what do you think?
Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?
Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.
If faith doesn’t work during times of illness, when will it?
I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

How to walk on a tightrope without a net
Thank goodness I don’t ever have to try this. I don’t like heights anyway and I’m not that sure-footed either. Right now I do feel like I’m walking on a tightrope. I find myself trying to keep really busy just putting one foot squarely in front of each other on that rope so as not to… Read more

But don’t you feel that sometimes that’s exactly what you’re doing? I think back to the two weeks before my mom died.… Read more

Jumping from a plane when you don’t have a parachute.
That would be foolish, huh? Who jumps from a plane without a parachute? No one. Unless, of course, they have a death wish. (Of course, some people have but I stick with my previous statement about having a death wish and those that did had either a net to catch them or another skydiver to “catch”… Read more

How to walk in the woods with no light
Sometimes I feel like I’m walking through the woods without a flashlight. Do you know what I mean? Darkness envelopes me and I can’t see where I’m going. I’m afraid I will fall. Or that the darkness will consume me entirely, like a wild animal. We hear noises and wonder, “Should we be afraid? Is something out… Read more

Some posts to inspire you starting tomorrow.
I don’t know why but the other day I started thinking about life and how sometimes I feel like I’m falling through the cracks. I’m sure it has to do with my mom’s death. So for the rest of the week, here’s where we’re going. Tuesday: “How to walk in the woods… Read more

Why I couldn’t live in the 18th century
I watched one of my favorite movies last night, “Age of Innocence”. It’s based on the book by Edith Wharton. Another favorite movie by the same author is “Ethan Frome”. If you ever get a chance, you should really see these movies. But I digress. As I was watching the movie, I couldn’t but think… Read more
