A new approach. I hope you like it.
Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.
So, what do you think?
Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?
Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.
If faith doesn’t work during times of illness, when will it?
I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

I’m really cheap when it comes Read more

Why it’s OK, even great, to eat a Bavarian creme-filled pastry.
I am worried about a couple of people. That’s the only thing that explains why I would schedule my last two posts for 3:00 am. They were supposed to post at 3:00 pm, but apparently I didn’t enter the time right. I forgot it’s military time which would mean I would schedule for 15:00. So Read more

What is authentic humility and what isn’t it?
I opened the door in response to the quiet knock. A timid young Thai woman bowed her head and mumbled some words. “Why was she bowing?” I wondered. She had on a uniform with the name of the hotel embroidered on it, so I knew her to be one of the hotel staff. I let her in Read more

the week in review and free speech is for EVERYONE
This has been an interesting week. Mostly because of politics. I have such a hard time understanding why free speech is only for some people. I thought it was for everyone. I’m referring to the organized protest to stop the Trump rally in Chicago. It doesn’t matter to me whose rally it was. No one Read more
