A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Wow, wow, and one more Wow

I am absolutely in awe when God shows up in what I call a “how does God do that”, moment. It’s when God anticipates I need a confirmation from the Bible, circumstances or some other resources. Today is such a day. I don’t follow my traditional reading plan at the cabin because I have… Read more

  • God’s surprise visit.

At the cabin. Sun is shining. Birds are chirping. Gentle breezes. Quiet. Peaceful. Painting supplies ready to go. All is well in my world. Then I remembered Heather. We attend a small church when we’re at the cabin. It doesn’t have the million dollar budget my home church does. At one point a young woman… Read more

  • Relaxation, revival and rediscovering

Up at “teeny tiny red cabin” I was so exhausted from all my hubby and I have been doing. I collapsed on the bed and slept for two hours! Feel like I could fall asleep again and it’s only eight o’clock. Sat in bunkhouse as it was too “mosquitoey” on the porch. I brought up… Read more

  • worrying, depression

    worrying isn’t reality

Hello, everyone, I haven’t fallen off the earth. We are in middle of two re-modeling projects. They really aren’t big projects but because of where the rooms are located, we are having to circle the house outside to go from one part of the house to the other. Today the contractors are leaving. Tomorrow we are… Read more

  • Busyness or stress, which is it?

Today is the best day since surgery. And the worst day.   We’re all busy. I get that. I don’t know many who aren’t and those that aren’t, wish they were. When I talk about “busy” though, I never mean the stressful kind. The kind where you feel everything is happening around you and you… Read more

  • How are you shaping tomorrow?

I’ve been doing some thinking. One of my previous posts was all about how our present decisions determine our future although I wrote about that subject in reverse order. But it occurs to me that I need to be more aware of this myself. For example, I am facing some big changes in the future that I wish… Read more
