Easy Spring Decorating Ideas you can try today
Spring is around the corner.
I hope it is true that spring is really around the corner. It’s very cold here in Michigan, although it has been quite sunny. I already had most of the items you see. The rusty metal piece on the frame was on a fence in my yard. I want to add bird nests under the birds. The little postcards I did buy were new. I might string them across the frame instead. I am looking for some bird prints to add to the collection.

Dining Room
The area below is an area in my dining room. The round metal shape I’ve since spray-painted the edges metallic gold so it shows up better against the wall. I had the frame, and last fall, I painted it black and, using a round sponge, dapper and painted on the flowers. I might add some leaves.

What projects are you planning for the spring?
Are you planning any big projects?
We are having our deck refinished. I’m so excited about that, especially the part about us not doing it ourselves. We built a pergola on the deck about fifteen years ago as well. We are moving it closer to the edges of the deck. Apparently, it’s totally doable. I can’t believe I even thought to ask about it. There are reasons I want it moved, but I would never be able to explain them. I will take some pictures, though.
Outside of that, nothing else is really big. Some rooms need some touch-up paint, but that’s not a big deal. And, of course, I will be looking for things to spray paint at garage sales this summer. For example, I painted this table years ago and only recently quit using it.
We are headed to our cabin this week to bring up some things before we actually open it up. I have nothing planned to do anything different there, either. In case you haven’t seen pictures,…..

So what are your plans?
Funny thing about plans. We can make them all we want, but God can certainly interrupt our plans.
The last six months have proven that to me and my husband. But we still are making plans because that’s what life is about: planning for the future. It’s what brings us hope and excitement for living. But while we’re making plans, let’s remember to include God in those plans.
Pray about your plans. Even pray about your spring projects. You don’t have to make it deep. Just ask God to redirect you if you’re on the wrong track. Ask him to help you make good and financially sound decisions. Again, it doesn’t have to be a big deal. It’s more of talking it over with a friend, your best friend.
God likes to be involved in all parts of our lives. It shows him that we are bringing him into all areas of our lives, even the parts that seem unimportant to us.
