MY DAUGHTER MADE THIS FOR ME LAST YEARFOUND THESE TREES AT 590 OFF LAST YEAR AT MENARDSPILLOWS FROM AN AMAZON OUTLET NEAR ME BRASS BOWL FROM A RECENT GARAGE SALE i HAD THE REST I STAMPED ON THE BOOKS NEED TO REDO FROM HOBBY LOBBY i PAINTED IT AND ADDED THE BOWi FOUND THIS METAL ROUND PIECE YEARS AGO AND ADDED WHAT YOU SEE FROM MY EXCESS STOCKA DOLLAR TREE GNOME I SEWED ON A PILLOWBOX I BUILT YEARS AGO i ADDED THE MIDDLE PART THIS IS A WOOD SIGN iVE HAD FOR YEARS i ADDED THE SILVER TWIG DESNT IT LOOK PRETTY WITH THE SNOWA CENTERPIECE ON MY COFFEE TABLE I BOUGHT THE BOWL AT A GARAGE SALE AND FILLE DIT WITH GREENERY I ALREADY HADPART OF MY HUTCH HUTCH THE HUTCH HUTCHWONDERFIL TIN BOX I FOUND AT A BARN SALE A FEW WEEKS AGO I HAD ALL THE FILLERTHE TIN BOX VIGNETTE IN MY DINING ROOM MY DINING ROOMCLOSE UP THIS TIN PIECE HAS GONE UNDER LOTS OF CHANGES OVER THE YEARSTHIS PIC AND THE NEXT ARE SNOWMEN HEAD DT USED TO CARRY ONE IS ON THE BACKSIDE OF A DT FRAM AND THE OTHER IS ON THE FRONTONE OF THOSE ROUND DT PIECES I USED THEUNDECORATED SIDE SAME WITH THE NEXT ONET
THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES MY BEST FRIEND AS MADE ME AT LEAST 12 OF THESE TWIG HOUSES PUT THESE TOGETHER LAST YEARI MADE THE FABRIC TREE AND ADD THE REST THE LARGER ROUND IS FROM THE WOODS
So how are you all doing?
I’m wrapped and ready. We celebrate a week early. We have always spent Christmas Day with our son and his family but we won’t this year. Quarantining ourselves as much as possible starting on the 18th because of my surgery on the 29th.
Today is a good foot day which makes me want to cancel but good foot days are rare for me. Apparently I will be non-weight-bearing for a minimum of two months. I’m hoping my doctor is giving me the worst case scenario but he usually does just the opposite. I’m not worried about the surgery but the recovery period has me worried. I’d love prayer from you.
What advent readings are any of you using for the Christmas season?
I’m reading Max Lucado’s, God Came Near. I’ve been tearful many times. It’s just a wonderful book to be reading at this time of year.
It’s amazing isn’t it, that God actually walked on earth? He was a baby, a child, a teenager, a young man and a Savior. Can you imagine what it must have been like to look back at your encounters with Jesus and, then learning of His death, ask yourself if maybe you missed the Truth?
