How to Paint Your Life With Bold Colors

Life and how to paint it.

I can still remember my first painting class.

I sat in front of the big white sheet, unsure what to do.

Meanwhile, everyone else in class was busy dipping their brushes in paint and painting away.

I just kept sitting there.

Finally, the teacher came over and whispered to me over my shoulder, “Rebecca, it’s only a $3.00 piece or paper”.

I have never forgotten that. It was a life lesson. Someday I should tell her. Right?

Every day is a blank canvas

Every day is like that big white piece of paper, a blank canvas. The colors we place on it are entirely up to us.

The color can be the red of anger, the blue of depression, or the yellow of happiness, the primary colors.

I am resolved to fill the blank canvas of my life with loved ones and to strengthen my relationship with God. All the colors of life.

What kind of colors are you going to paint on your canvas of life?

We always have options even when we’re depressed.

Even when we’re depressed, we have options. We can paint a few bright colors in our day by getting up and moving. We can also call someone or read something inspirational to lift our mood.

I didn’t conquer my depression by lying around and painting my day blue. I was determined I could be depression-free if I worked hard enough.

Don’t let this day pass without deciding to add moments of good in your life. Do not wait until evening to see your canvas begin dark blue and stay that way.

What color are you going to paint today?

God bless and have a good day.
