5. Fear Doesn’t Get the Final Word; Love Does

Romans 8:38–39 — “Nothing… will be able to separate us from the love of God.”

Fear is loud. It echoes in our minds, narrates worst-case scenarios, and tries to convince us that the story is over. It can prevent us from moving forward, binding us in a cocoon of doubt and anxiety. But Scripture reminds us: love gets the last word. God’s love is unshakable, unbreakable, and unending. It is a beacon of hope that pierces through the darkest moments. Anxiety, grief, or uncertainty can’t silence God’s love. It speaks louder.

Love holds firmer, wrapping us in its embrace when we feel most vulnerable. It stays longer, lingering in our hearts and souls, providing comfort in our most trying times. When fear tries to write your ending, God’s love steps in with a better script. He writes about redemption, restoration, and hope. God’s love rewrites our narratives to reflect His grace. Your fear does not define you. You are held by love, a love that transforms and uplifts. And love always finishes what it starts, guiding us toward a future filled with promise and peace.

You’re grieving a loss, and fear whispers, “You’ll never feel whole again.” It tells you healing is impossible. But God’s love holds you through the ache. It reminds you: this isn’t the end. You begin to see flickers of hope, moments of comfort, signs of life returning. Not because fear disappeared overnight, but because love stayed.

As you continue on your journey of healing and finding solace in God’s love, remember that fear may linger in the shadows, but it doesn’t have the power to dictate your future. It is God’s that will guide you towards wholeness. Embrace the flickers of hope and moments of comfort as reminders that love always triumphs over the darkness of fear. With each passing day, you’ll discover that it is love that has the final word, not fear.

📖 Your Rewrite Moment:

What fear has been trying to write your story? Replace it with a truth from Scripture. Write it down, speak it aloud, or share it with someone who needs a reminder that love wins.

God bless and have a great day.

The two best days in your life. What are they?

What do you think about that? Do you agree? I think most of us we agree about the day we were born, at least I hope we do. But what about the finding the “why”? I agree with Mark Twain about the second part but don’t believe it’s a “once for all” why. I… Read more

Why Hallmark Christmas movies are a good idea right now.

Wow. Last week was something, wasn’t it? My hubby and I stayed up till the week hours of the morning and I was so glad when I woke up the next morning thinking it was all over. Not! But Christmas is coming and I refuse to let the continuing political storm ruin my holidays. So… Read more

What are we so afraid of anyway?

Why are so many people still “flipping out” over this election? Are we so afraid of one person? Well, yes, I guess many people are. I get that. It’s hard to think that a person with the personality of Donald Trump is going to be our leader. I’m uncomfortable as well. But I’m not afraid.… Read more

God help us all! Exactly. After the election

I’ve heard the phrase, “God help us all!”, in relation to Trump’s victory. To which I respond, “Yes, God help us all. Help us be kind and loving. Help us listen  and respect those whose views are different from ours. Help us remember that it is you to whom we owe our allegiance. Keep us humble.… Read more

  • Why we should change election day. Wink, wink.

I think we should change the month and day for our presidential elections. I mean, two months out from Christmas. Really? I was at JoAnn’s (our big fabric and craft chain here in the US) yesterday and the lines were already really long. I’ve searched Pinterest (mostly my own boards because I have a lot… Read more

Do you REALLY like plain ‘ole chicken?

It’s not that I don’t like chicken. I just don’t like plain chicken. I take that back. I do LOVE fried chicken although I never cook in that way and fried chicken is not “plain” chicken anyway, is it? Anyway, I was on Pinterest and typed in a search using the words, “Sauces for chicken”. I… Read more
