A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Courageousness versus cowardice. Know the difference.

Yesterday I wrote about how, especially when we are “down”, that we often respond to remarks too sensitively. Proverbs twenty-five was the Proverb I read yesterday: Like apples of gold in settings of silver is a word spoken in right circumstances. Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold, is a wise… Read more

How to express our Christian views.

Boy, I didn’t know if I could post today or not Let me backtrack. My husband is gone for a few days on business so yesterday a friend and I were working on a DIY Christmas project. Because we were going to be in and out of the garage I put Rambo (our woods-rescue-cat) in… Read more

Why I find the word “sin” so liberating

There must be something wrong with me. I like the word “sin”. I find it so liberating. “Liberating?” you ask in wonderment. Yep. I find when I call my bad habits what they are, sin, I know I have recourse. If I just think of them as bad habits, then I am forced to change… Read more

God supplies all the tools we need

Honestly, I think my computer has a mind of its own sometimes. I very meticulously and carefully scheduled two posts this week, one for Monday and one for Tuesday. So why they both published on Monday, I have no idea. I will blame it on the kitty we rescued, now named Rambo, for the problem.… Read more

  • what is coming out of your mouth

What is coming out of your mouth?

Why are some people so mean and thoughtless? Why am I at times? Why do we say such unkind things? Why do we use words like “retarded” and stupid?  Words by themselves are fairly neutral but we all know how we feel when we’ve been the recipient of a word used in a derogatory way. “Retarded”… Read more
