A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

Do you remember where you were?

My husband and I had taken a wonderful trip out west. We visited Arizona, Montana, and New Mexico. We were ending our trip and had booked a hotel room near the airport as we had a morning flight. We arrived at the airport and noticed people weren’t bustling around. They were gathered around televisions throughout… Read more

  • Ladies, don’t wear this blouse!

I don’t usually make a remark about the latest fashion but I just can’t help it this time. First of all, these tops and dresses with the shoulders cut out. Not a fan. And especially not a fan of anyone over the age of forty wearing it. I saw an “older” woman at TJ MAXX… Read more

Oh, dear. A parasite is living in me!

I told you months ago I was having a flare-up of my IBS. Sounded logical considering my mom died in May and there was a lot of stress for that year. But my husband insisted I go to the doctor. He ordered a test. Turns out I have a parasite living in my gut. Yuck.… Read more

Do you ever get scared about the future?

Do you ever get scared about the future? All the “what ifs”? What if “this” happens? What if “that” happens? I have to be honest. Even though I’ve been a Christian most of my adult life, if I allow my mind to project into the future far enough, I get scared, really scared. I fear… Read more

Trying to rescue a kitty but he won’t let me.

So last week at the cabin, I’m having devotions at the bunk house and I hear something that sounds like a cry. I follow the sound and I spy a tiny kitten I spent the next twenty-four hours trying to coax him to come to me. I put out tuna fish and milk but he… Read more

Happy Labor Day and that’s just what we’re doing

Don’t know what you’re doing today but we are living up to the title, we are “laboring”. We came home from the cabin for a couple of days last week to regroup. Friday the electrician came and wired the room so we moved the bed into our official new bedroom. We had the windows replaced… Read more
