A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

Getting priorities straight after a loss

My poor husband. He’s not only had to take care of my mom’s estate, the sale of her house, getting all the paperwork together but he’s also been repairing things at the cabin. We had to buy a new air-conditioner, a new grill, and a new lawnmower. All for the cabin. We looked like “The Beverly… Read more

I’d like to introduce you to an author that you may not be familiar with. Her name is Alexandra Stoddard. • Joshua 2016

Today is the first day of an exhausting week.

Today begins a week with our seven-year-old grandson. This is is third summer visit. He is quite something. Kind of an old soul in a kid’s body. He says and does the funniest things. Last year he asked us if he could watch a certain movie, can’t even remember which one now. I asked him,… Read more

My heart broke again last night

Just a short post today. Last night, I made it official. I sold my mother’s house, furnishings and all, to my brother at well below market value. I knew it would be hard to hand over my garage door opener. It was my “key” to her home. It was harder than I thought. I feel… Read more
