A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • bad hair and depression

How our hair affects our depression

O.k., today’s post may seem silly. What does hair have to do with depression? Actually, more than you might know. The one constant over the years is my hair. It’s wild, unruly, and I have a lot of it. I’ve colored it for years but somewhere in these last fifteen years, I gave that up.… Read more

So rather than wait till tomorrow, I’m going to publish tonight. Why competition doesn’t always stop with the competition. I’m too competitive. Before you think… Read more

  • being naive

Why it’s OK to be naive

What is naiveté  I can be very naive at times. How about you?  My family is always kidding me about how naïve I am about some things. For example, if a family member tells me something outlandish, (like there’s such a thing as a Michigan peacock) I’m very apt to believe them because of course,… Read more

  • Why books should just be books and how to store them

I’ve been browsing through some blogs about how to decorate with books. A lot of bloggers cover their books with matching paper.  I must admit, it’s very attractive.  Others group books by their color. Also attractive.   Some people use books to stack things on. I use them like this as well.   But even… Read more

  • What does grief “look” like on a Christian?

How does a Christian wear their faith and what does that faith look like when one’s journey is painful? Here are my thoughts based on years of studying the Bible, reading books by the great authors of past and present, prayer, and my own trials. Faith isn’t necessarily: A smiling face though your heart is… Read more

  • A cute wall decoration from Hobby Lobby

I found this cute wall “thingee” at Hobby Lobby last weekend so thought I would share it with you. I had a coupon so I think it was only about $20.00. I’ve so been needing to get something for this wall. I really like it.   This is a close-up. I’ve had these antique books… Read more
