Just checking in. How are you doing?

Just checking in to see how you are all doing during these “quiet” times.

Kind of like a personal letter today between friends.

How the pandemic can change us

I’m sure that you, like me, have had it with the Pandemic. This is not easy. Today I am missing that in-person connection with the people I love. But yesterday we got appointments for our vaccination. So in five weeks, just five weeks, we will be seeing our family.

I so hope you will, too.

But you know what?

This pandemic has changed me in profound ways. I think I mentioned before that I rediscovered my love of painting, of all kinds, spray painting, painting watercolors, acrylics, and so on. But this period has also reignited a passion for learning and growing through serious study of God’s word.

SOJO academy is a recent on-line Christain group I joined and I’m loving it. As of yesterday, I signed up through a Bible college for a certification program to become a spiritual life coach. I am so-o-o-o excited and am loving the course work.

None of this would’ve happened had it not been for Covid-19. Because of the restrictions and the fact that I don’t enjoy shopping with a mask on anyway, I’ve completely turned around my habits.

Today, I just want to urge you to make this time of restriction work for you.

How these “quiet” times can work for us.

It is during these times that God can really get our attention if we let him.

Pay close attention to that still small voice that can be heard now more than ever.

Our lives are “quiet” right now, so let’s use that”quiet” to really hear God through our Bible study, our prayers, and our ordinary moments.

There are many projects I am working on for you.

So, I have added some new Bible study methods outlines to the Digital Resource Library and will be adding more as I develop them. Remember, you have to sign up via e-mail to gain access.

Anyway, I just want to touch base with you today and encourage you. We are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel but let’s make good use of this time.

God bless and hang in there.
