A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

  • Is there anything we shouldn’t change? Yes, there is.

Is there anything we shouldn’t change? Yes, there is.

I’ve been writing about change this week. But before I go on, a conversation I had tonight with a young woman prompts me to write this as well. When we’re talking about change, especially as Christians, I want to make it clear that we are NOT talking about changing one’s personality. That’s not the change… Read more

I’m late posting today. Plus I’m taking a little detour. All the politics and the news of the past few weeks has unnerved me. How about you? When I read this during my devotions this morning, I felt a great sense of relief. So I wanted to share it with you in case you needed a… Read more

  • How does authentic change begin?

    How does authentic change begin?

Anyone can change. Anyone can change anything. We’re all good at sprinting. That’s the “nature” part in human nature. But what about long-lasting change. Do we start anywhere different? Do anything different? Read more

  • What is true change for a Christian or anyone for that matter?

(I apologize that I’m reposting this from yesterday. I’m posting from my cell phone and even with my very little fingers, I sometimes hit the wrong button. So if you’ve already read this, just ignore it.) True change is never about circumstances. It’s always about us. Read more

  • the week-in-review and when will the world know peace?

I don’t even want to do a week in review because it seems so trivial based on what happened in France and what is currently happening in Turkey. So I will quickly re-cap: Monday, I wrote about what a relaxing weekend I had and how it was so needed. Tuesday, I posted about an interesting… Read more

When doctors scare you with the “cancer” possibility

I mentioned in my post on Monday that I had a doctor’s appointment last week and that I would write about it later. Well, this is later. (This was supposed to have published this morning. I’m looking right at my screen where it says “Publish on: Jul 15, 2016 @11:00. So I have no clue… Read more
