As you know from last week, I’ve had some sort of “bug”. I was feeling much better but today not so much.
I’ve been thinking about this whole “Bullet Journaling” method and am thinking about trying it.
I would love to know if any of you have tried this method or journaling or not and if you think it’s beneficial to pursue.
Here’s a video I found by the author of the movement. It’s just an introduction but though you might find it useful.
Here’ s another one in more detail.
This next one is quite in-depth.
Anyway, I hope these help. I want to start one myself but I don’t want to go to all the effort until I’m sure of exactly what I need to track.
For example, I already walk pretty much every day so don’t need a checklist for that.
I know not to eat too many sweets. Don’t need to track.
I love the creative part in all of this but I need it to be streamlined for me.
For example, I want to paint more once our basement is finished. (Will show you pictures or our mess.) But how exactly will I do this? Ten minutes a day? That won’t work. Maybe so many minutes a week? Not sure. Maybe it’s a small picture a week. An on-going picture.
I’m an avid reader anyway but I need a plan because I have so many books I want to read, mostly non-fiction. But I need to incorporate just what I call “fun” reading. So how do I tract that?
In the middle of all this, I’m reading Atomic Habits, by James Clear. I highly recommend it. And it’s kind of neat how I’m reading that at the same time I’m contemplating this bullet journal idea. It’s great how God just brings it all together for us, isn’t it?
Anyway, that’s it for the day. I hope you found this helpful and informative and that you’re having fun planning your “word” for the year. I think I’ve pretty much decided.
God bless you and have a great day.
