A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

A reminder on this Psalm Sunday

I am thinking today of Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem on this Palm Sunday. He was applauded, cheered. He was treated as a hero. And yet…. Within a week, all that had changed. Simple spring tablescape

Just a few pictures of my simple spring tablescape. The wood tray I’ve had for years. The greenery is from Hobby Lobby. The roses are from my husband. The figures were black and I painted them Heirloom White by Rustoleum. The silver bowls are vintage. You can see the post where I featured them here.… Read more

Are you harder on yourself than even God?

Many a person has deflected criticism by shouting their mea culpas so loudly no one dares say anything that might sound like criticism. They use their mea culpas to fend off any criticism. Right? I’m sure you’ve run into people like that. They’re always putting themselves down about something but never make any changes in… Read more

  • I don’t know why I didn’t post these pictures. But here they are.

I’ve been editing my media library. I could have sworn I posted these pictures but the media files are saying unattached so I guess I didn’t. So I thought, why not post these pictures now? I love old brass bowls and candlesticks. The bowl in this picture I’ve had almost my entire married life and… Read more
