A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

What does forgiveness have to do with dirty dishes?

Forgiveness is immediate but that’s a concept hard to believe. We think we have to be “cleaned-up first” which, of course, negates the whole meaning of forgiveness. It’s one of those areas in life where it’s important not to let things pile up. Like with dirty, crusted on-food dishes. A true story But before I Read more

A hard important truth about prayer.

A hard important truth about prayer is: From E.M.Boounds: Prayer which does not result in right thinking and right living, is a farce. We miss the whole point of prayer if it fails to purge character and change conduct. The character of the inner life is a condition of effectual praying. As is the life, Read more

Too many books! I need an intervention?

I have too many books. Or do I? Do I need an intervention? Yesterday was the perfect day for organizing. It was rainy. We watched some great sermons, had many cups of coffee, and had a lazy day all around. By the afternoon, I thought, why not organize something? I have way too many books. Read more
