We can’t-always know what to do that is. Sometimes God puts us “on hold” and we wonder why.
Or there is some habit some activity that God seems to tell us “no” and other people “yes.” It seems unfair. But part of our Christian walk is to learn to be comfortable with “God pauses”.
Whenever God does this it’s to teach us the importance of waiting on Him.
Proverbs 2: 3-8, states it clearly: (Pay attention to the Bold words and the italicized ones. My emphasis.
3 indeed, if you call out for insight
and cry aloud for understanding,
4 and if you look for it as for silver
and search for it as for hidden treasure,
5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
7 He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
8 for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.
One thing is for sure, never run ahead of God. Because if you do and it does turn out all right, you will never be able to say with confidence that God was behind it. Oh, you might actually utter the words but you will be fooling yourself.
I want to know that my successes, my victories are because I sought God’s leading. It reinforces my faith.
As Oswald Chambers says:
When it is a question if the providential (God’s specific will for you , my emphasis), wait for God move.
Peter didn’t. He thought his test of faith would come a certain way and when it didn’t, he felt flat in his face.
I would rather learn from successes than failure although I probably don’t.
How about you? Are you in a quandary right now? If it’s not an emergency, take your time; God always makes the path clear as we continue to walk towards Him.
God bless and have a great day.
