Alphabet of thanks, “I”

Intervals. Yep. Intervals. What a strange thing to be grateful for, huh?

But not when you really think about it.

How would we get through life without intervals? Intervals between struggles. Intervals between depression. Intervals between demands.

Intervals are good. Even on my Elliptical machine, intervals are what gets me through my work-out.

Today was an “interval” kind of day. Some confusion earlier in the day followed by a time of relief in a Bible study. As I think about it, I realize how concentrating on God really does provide the rest that Jesus talks about so often.

Jesus not only experienced intervals, He deliberately chose them. Intervals between busyness and rest. Intervals when He walked away from the demands of the people to spend time with His Father.

So today I’m grateful for the intervals in my life. They have saved me more than once.

God bless and I hope you have a good day.
