The good and bad of shopping at Wal-mart

This is Tuesday. Tuesday is the day I’ve decided will be the day I post “tidbits” of interesting articles or media news I run across. Sometimes it will be funny, sometimes serious. It’s just what ever I find intriguing.

When I was “pinning” today, I found this article about Wal-Mart I found interesting.

I have to tell you I don’t know why there is such animosity surrounding Wal-Mart so much more than other retail chain stores.

Yes, I know the hype about what they pay their employees, how they supposedly treat their employees, their health care benefits, etc. But they are no different from most other discount stores. They just get a lot more bad press.

If I want something of quality then maybe I shouldn’t shop at a discount store. Right? Although, having said that, I buy Wal-Mart’s “Earth” shoes and they last forever not to mention they are extremely comfortable. (Remember, five, count them, five, foot surgeries thus far so I know what I’m talking about.)

But I hate, really hate, their Great Value brand.

Wal-Mart is not a regular destination of mine but I probably wander through the store a couple of times a month.

Anyway I hope you enjoy this article.

God bless and I hope you have a good day.
