A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

Help me out with this decision, please.

OK. So I have been dying to try making those wonderful Artisan breads that are so popular right now. I mean, look at some of these. My mouth is watering.     But here’s where I need your help. I have really small hands and weak wrists. Last year I had to get a cortisone… Read more

Some were quite complicated but this one was really simple and used popsicle sticks. Now that’s nothing new but these were quite large. Plus,… Read more

Why I am worried about election day.

Today’s a big day. I don’t have to tell you that massive numbers of people are voting. It might even exceed a Presidential election. And I have to be honest, I’m worried about how this day will go. On the one hand, it’s a good thing there is going to be a huge turnout. On the… Read more

  • Skeletons, books, and coffee! What a combo.

We were at my daughter’s house for Halloween. She lives in the cutest little town in Michigan. Every year each business displays a skeleton in front of their establishment. I didn’t take pictures of all them. This is just a sampling.   This one was in front of a restaurant that specializes in Italian food.… Read more

  • Why thinking about our thinking is important.

Why thinking about our thinking is important.

Yesterday I posted about thinking and how I think most people don’t. Think, that is. I found this website that I felt made some good points.. If you don’t want to go there, I am going to give a synopsis of a few parts that grabbed my attention. Identify your biases and know how they impact… Read more

If I had the power to enact a law……….

If you had the power to enact just one law. What would it be? I thought about all kinds of noble answers to this question like, everyone should love each other, everyone should forgive each other, blah, blah, blah. While all this would be great, I’m not that naive. It just isn’t going to happen. Not… Read more
