A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

I don’t post on Saturday’s but wanted you to read this.

I read this after writing my last two posts about this very same subject. I really like what she has to say and wanted to share it with you. I thought of just including a web link but you might not take the time to click it, etc. So I’m including it here with all… Read more

Are you ever proud of yourself? I mean, really proud?

I have to be honest. I’m pretty proud of myself today. (Which when you read this, read “yesterday”.) I’m still clearing out “stuff. But today I went to Home Goods and Hobby Lobby. Not a good place when you’re clearing out. I specifically went to Hobby Lobby for scrapbook paper for a Christmas project I… Read more

How I feel with less weight. How you can too.

I’m afraid that title was a little misleading. But I am carrying around less weight, the weight of too much stuff. We are contemplating a move in the next year or so and I am working hard at learning to live with less. I can’t believe the “stuff” I’ve gotten rid of over the past… Read more

Is it OK for Christians to be happy?

I don’t know where you live, but here West Michigan the weather has been glorious for a few days. And while I am ready for sweater weather, I’m not ready for the cold, dark days of winter either. I am reminded though that while the seasons can’t stay the same, I can’t either. Whether I… Read more

A DIY using plate chargers. A great gift for friends.

I love working with plate chargers. I’ve used them for years. I buy them at garage sales, thrift stores, etc. They really dress up a table. But I seldom spend more than maybe a dollar. Why? Because I paint them. I’ll you some in a minute but first this story. I thought we brought up… Read more

  • When the Holy Spirit says “No” and then “Yes”.

When the Holy Spirit says “No” and then “Yes”.

I’m in Acts in the New Testament. Chapter 16:6-10. I love how the Apostle Paul is so in tune with the leading of the Holy Spirit. First, Paul and Silas feel the Holy Spirit is saying not to preach on Asia, so they leave. They travel to Bithynia and the Spirit once again tells them… Read more
