A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

In defense of MOST men. Yep, that’s what I said.

I had a neat experience yesterday. My husband and I have been looking for a new truck since the early spring. We wanted a certain brand (Toyota), a certain color, etc. We also wanted to buy from our local dealer because they are outstanding. We were willing to wait as long as we needed. Finally,… Read more

The many sides of our personalities. It’s all good.

I think I know myself pretty well. But it’s not how I always present myself. By the way, it isn’t just me. It’s all of us.   We all have different personas we present to different people.  That’s because there are many sides to all of us. And it’s not as bad as you might… Read more

  • I’m still on a pumpkin “kick” and creative way to display them

Sometimes inspiration strikes and you find your decorating inner guru. I bought some little white pumpkins and wanted to display one in the living room. Originally, I just placed the pumpkin on this table and let it go but later I thought, “There is not enough dimension. It’s just lacking something.” Then I thought about… Read more

How to paint and refinish small tables in unique ways

So yesterday, I showed you a white pumpkin on a white table but I didn’t show you the table. I saved that for today. I got this table from an estate. It was an estate for a distant relative and I was allowed to take what I wanted. I picked out a few things. This… Read more

White pumpkins on a gold leaf candle holder

Sometimes inspiration just “strikes”. I bought some little white pumpkins last week. I wanted to do something “sweet” with just one of them. Does that make any sense? Can decorating be “sweet”? Apparently, in my venacular, it can be. But what? I put it on a small table I had just refinished but it looked kind… Read more

  • What you didn’t see last week.

What you didn’t see last week.

So last week, I posted this.  It was a short post on a day I don’t usually post. (Therein, lies the problem. You can take the blogger out of her routine but you can’t take the routine out of the blogger. ) In that post,  I was supposed to show you a sketch of the… Read more
