A new approach. I hope you like it.

Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.

So, what do you think?

Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?

Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.

I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

How grace unrecognized is grace rejected. Pay attention.

How often has grace surrounded you and you haven’t noticed it because you were concentrating on the problems in your life? Sometimes God shoots grace our way when we least expect it and we don’t even recognize it. We should, of course. We get so entrenched in the problem, we don’t see the small sliver… Read more

How God blesses when things go wrong

I think after you read this,  you will understand why I’m so late in posting today. Holy cow. Last week was some week. But God blessed my husband and me in the midst of it all. It meant putting one foot in front of the other. It meant making the best of a bad situation.… Read more

How to enjoy the last few days of summer

Actually, summer isn’t over ’till September but I think most people think of Labor Day as the unofficial end of summer. For some of you, it means children are going back to school. Some children are happy about it, mostly girls. Little boys, not so much, except for getting to see their “buds” again. For… Read more

Do you ever have “survivor’s guilt”? I do.

I live in Michigan and Tuesday night we had the “mother” of all storms hit the area where we have our cabin. The warnings had been out all day so we moved everything off the bunkhouse porch and the cabin deck. We kept watching the skies waiting for the storm to come. I looked out… Read more

  • My best garage sale find ever. You HAVE to see this!

Boy, sometimes you just hit it big. I just said to someone the other day how I had not found that “outstanding” garage sale find yet and summer is fading away fast. My husband and I were on our way home from our daughter’s house and we had to take a detour because of a… Read more
