A new approach. I hope you like it.
Sometimes, new is good. I hope you’ll overlook the fact that I am reposting. I wanted to see what this looked like. Maybe I’ll post something like this every end-of-month, so in case you didn’t read a post, they are all in one place.
So, what do you think?
Besides, trying something new is good, right? And considering it’s the end of the month, it works out well.

Plus, I like being able to see my posts this way as well. It’s been two months of reflection and sorting things out. Mental health, identifying the truly important, and relationships. Some pretty heady subjects. But what else is there to do in these two dark, cold months?
Now, I contend with this Afib diagnosis. I’m having a hard time adjusting to the medications. But I try to see things in perspective. It’s not terminal. It’s treatable. Perspective certainly helps. Besides, I’m an overcomer in Christ.
If faith doesn’t work during times of illness, when will it?
I hope you have a great weekend and blessings to each of you.

I’m pretending I’m moving to a new house. You should try it.
Actually, a move is in the future but it could be a few years down the road which is why I used the word “pretending”. When my husband and I started to think about it, we realized that after raising a family and living in the same home for thirty years, a good-sized home I… Read more

When was the last time you felt a “sense of awe?

I’m talking about the last time you saw God working. There’s no fanfare. You didn’t expect it. There’s nothing obvious and yet you exclaimed “Wow”! That’s… Read more

Two health tips you need to know.
An interesting tidbit today, if you’re trying to lose weight or just. Now, I certainly don’t think these two tips are a magic formula but they’re certainly worth considering. I had never read these two ideas ever so I’m thinking you may not have either. The first one makes a lot of sense. The second… Read more

why is it so hard to do the right thing?
I love it when I do the right thing. But I don’t always know the right thing to do and even when I do, I don’t always do it. (Just being real here.) And if I wait to decide what is the right thing, I might very well miss an opportunity. And the truth is, there isn’t… Read more

Why it’s OK to ask God “Why”
July fourth, around 10:00 pm I get a phone call. It’s my daughter saying my six-year-old grandson has been bitten by a dog. In the face. I mean, the dog had his whole face in his mouth. They were on their way to the ER. Thank goodness, it was OK. The dog was a friend’s… Read more

My adorable little sewing chest. Turned out so cute.
I bought this adorable sewing chest about five years ago. It was orange. I wish I had a before picture. Originally, there were half-circle shapes on each side with lids that raised up to store sewing supplies. One of them fell off and my husband could not re-attach it so I took the other side… Read more
